In this session, we’ll learn how to tell your story through captivating photos and videos. From city escapes to remote getaways, we’ll talk about tactics for a variety of travel situations. Whether you’re doing it for the ‘gram or for your own personal record, it’s time to level up your photos and videos with style and ease.

NOMADNESS Fest brings conversations focused on Reimagining BIPOC Travel to Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, NC, August 1, 2024—The award-winning tourism community and brand, NOMADNESS Travel Tribe is bringing their annual festival to Charlotte, NC this September pairing travel education and local entertainment to highlight the connection between community and reimagining travel. NOMADNESS Fest is the premiere tourism event centering BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) experiences, resources, influencers, and industry leaders from across the globe. Charlotte’s festival weekend takes place September 12–September 14, 2024 and will activate in a number of spaces including Camp North End’s Boiler Yard and Ford Building, Seoul Food – Mill District, and The Hamilton at AvidXchange.
NOMADNESS Fest programming has something for everyone within its three tracks: Leisure Travel, Community Impact, and Media & Tech. This year’s theme of The Future is Ours: Reimagining BIPOC Travel, spotlights conversations the industry is having on a local, community, and international scale. Panels include topics ranging from the curating and sustaining BIPOC community on and offline, travel 101 for newbies, the role of AI in the travel industry, tourism meets activism, and a VIP-exclusive conversationwith Emmy-Award winner and NOMADNESS’s CEO, Evita Robinson.
Speakers currently include the Emmy-Award winning travel filmmaker Jules Broste; Gen Z and solo travel advocate, Gabby Beckford; founder of Geek Girl Travel, and award-winning photographer; Beth Nelson; founder of travel marketing company, The Culturist Group, Danny Guerrero; Lawrence Phillips, founder of Green Book Global, the first Black travel review site; Emmy Award-winning journalist and TV host, Oneika Raymond, among others.
After a morning of workshops, the afternoon transitions into a festival with local entertainment and DJ sets with See Bird Go and DJ Fannie Maefrom the trap gospel choir, Sainted to highlight the local Charlotte creative scene and the necessity of supporting local communities. Throughout the rest of the weekend, NOMADNESS Fest is packed with VIP-exclusive networking events and an open city experience day, coordinated with Charlotte Tourism, to spotlight local business and experiences for attendees to visit.

NOMADNESS Travel Tribe is an award winning online social community primarily for travelers of color. NOMADNESS was the first of its kind targeting Black and brown millennials. The group currently surpasses 36,000 international members, with over a dozen regional ambassadors.
